Target: 500 Hectares! Soybeans Seed Production Enters Critical 3rd Cycle

Our Soybeans Seed Production Program is entering the 3rd Cycle, a very critical stage which would serve as the jumping board of an industry level Soybeans Production.
With 20,000 kilos of both Manchuria White and Tudela Black Soybeans seeds, we target to cover 500 hectares from January to March this year.
A projected yield of 2,000 kilos per hectare from 500 hectares, the 4th Cycle could cover 20,000 to 25,000 hectares.
This could be the foundation of the Soybeans Industry in the country achieved through the efforts of the private sector.
From just 50 kilos of seeds acquired from DA Caraga Region, we have produced enough seeds for 500 hectares and soon 25,000 hectares.
It did not come easy as we experienced setbacks and trials in our effort to establish propagation protocols.
With Vetmate Farma Corp. supporting the Soybeans Program, we have shown that we could grow this highly imported crop in the country.
Now, it is government’s turn to ensure that the program expands and we develop our National Soybeans Industry.
The private sector has done its part.
Now, the ball is in the court of the Department of Agriculture.
