You will always see him behind or beside President Rody Duterte in the many news photos and TV coverages thus earning him the monicker The Presidential Photobomber.
But there is more to Christopher “Bong” Go than the taciturn and oftentimes unsmiling image seen by the public.
To those who know him very well, Bong, undoubtedly the most trusted person of the President, is a funny guy who, even during the Presidential campaign pulled pranks on the members of the Duterte campaign group, many of whom are now Cabinet Secretaries.
He took pictures of those who dozed as then Presidential candidate Rody Duterte would start his “1521” story on how Ferdinand Magellan started the trouble in the islands by planting the cross of Christianity in a place where people either which embraced Islam or animism.
Then he would show the pictures to Mayor Duterte and everybody in the group would have a big laugh.
Early this morning, I saw a video posted on Facebook showing Senator and world welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao throwing a combination on Bong Go inside the Presidential plane.
They were obviously in a flight to Singapore from Cambodia.
Towards the end of the video, Bong stood beside a sleeping Manny Pacquiao and Secretary of Trade Mon Lopez and unleashed several combinations and then claimed a knockout.
“Pambansang Photobomber knocks out Pambansan Kamao. May bonus pa… pati si DTI Secretary Mon Lopez, knockout din,” Bong wrote in his post.
I had a big laugh when I saw the post not only because the video was really funny but because with Bong Go horsing around the Presidential Plane in a happy mood, I knew the man whom he has served for decades now, Rody Duterte, was also in a happy mood.

He is the perfect alter ego of President Rody Duterte.
