What is a leader?

Colorful Davao City Mayor Rody Duterte talks about the essence of leadership in the third of a series of articles on “The mind of Rody Duterte” which will be posted here on Sunday morning.

It is an in depth look into the leader of the country’s 4th Safest in the World who cusses, rides a motorcycle, drives a taxi at night and publicly warns drug dealers and criminals of serious consequences if they ply their trade in Davao City.

In the many instances when I had the opportunity to pick his mind and listen to him up close, I have come to understand Duterte’s thoughts on what a leader should be and how he should act.

I will share his thoughts with the readers of this page on Sunday, December 21, when Duterte talks about “The Essence of Leadership.”
