Dr. Benedict Valdez, head of the Maharlika Charity Foundation medical mission, said he saw apparent neglect by government of the poorest of the poor who appeared to have not been touched by doctors for many years.
Yesterday, almost 1,000 patients were given medical attention while 52 persons with cysts of varying sizes were operated on.
The medical mission continues for the second day Sunday, March 3.
