The show must go on! RUSSIA, PH SIGN AGREEMENTS ON AGRI, DEFENSE, INVESTMENTS By Manny Piñol

Newly-appointed Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano and four other department secretaries, including myself, signed agreements which would strengthen the relations between the Russian Federation and the Philippines in the areas of defence and security, agriculture and fisheries, trade and investments, science and technology and tourism.
Even after President Rody Duterte cut short his four-day official visit to Russia following an attack staged by Extremeist Groups in Marawi City, the Philippine delegation pushed through with its lined up activities.
At 2 p.m. today, I will have a bilateral meeting with my Russian counterpart, Alexandr Tchakov, in the Ministry of Agriculture office here in Moscow.
The other department secretaries – Wanda Teo of Tourism, Ramon Lopez of Trade and Investments and Boy dela Peña of Science and Technology – will also meet with their Russian counterparts.
Actor Robin Padilla will host the get together of the Filipino Community members here in Moscow, a program which always marks the visit of President Duterte to countries with Filipino expatriates.
Secretary Cayetano will host the business forum here in Moscow this afternoon while Secretary Lopez will proceed to St. Petersburg tomorrow to join another trade and investments forum.
The show must go on even as President Duterte handles the delicate task of security our country.
