Understanding the. Law! NATIONWIDE INFO CAMPAIGN ON RICE TARIFF STARTS TODAY

The Department of Agriculture (DA) and its attached agencies involved in Rice Production will conduct starting today a four-day Information Campaign to explain to farmers’ groups and stakeholders what the Rice Tariffication and Liberalisation Law is.

The information campaign hopes to address the fears and concerns of the rice industry stakeholders as the government prepares to implement the law signed by President Rody Duterte on Feb. 15.

Here is the schedule of the RA 11203/IRR/RCEF Consultations:

– Feb 26, Tuesday – For Northern Luzon Cluster – Philippine Carabao Centre Muñoz, Nueva Ecija Starts 9 a.m.;

– Feb. 27, Wednesday – Southern Luzon Cluster DA Agricultural Training Centre Lipa, Batangas 9 .m.

– Feb. 28, Thursday – Mindanao Cluster Davao City Starts 12 Noon. Venue Grand Regal Hotel.

– Mar. 1, Friday – Visayas Cluster, Iloilo City Starts 9.m. Venue to be announced later.
