When You Plant… Hass Avocado Flowers 2 Years After Planting

My brother, retired police officer Patricio Piñol, had a pleasant surprise today when he found out that the Hass Avocado he planted two years ago have started to show buds of flowers.
The Hass seedlings came from my farm which I gave to him two years ago.
He planted about 40 seedlings in his farm in Barangay Baynosa but only about 20 survived.
I was also pleased with the discovery that he has at least 20 flowering Hass Avocados because I will now have sources of scions to produce more grafted Hass Avocados.
Tomorrow, I will dispatch my farm technicians to spray the young Hass Avocados with fungicide and insecticide and apply fertilizer to support them in their flowering stage.
Totoo talaga ang kasabihan na “Kung may itinanim, may asnihin.”
