To those inquiring about the availability of planting materials of the famous EVIARC Variety of Jackfruit, one of the sweetest popularly known as Abuyog Sweet, please be advised that I am not selling seedlings.
However, if you are interested to plant the Abuyog Sweet Langka, I am recommending that you grow your rootstocks first.
When they are ready for grafting, you could come to my farm and I will share with you scions or grafting materials.
Your rootstocks must at least be pencil-size and I will ask our Jackfruit experts from the Eastern Visayas Agricultural Research Centre (EVIARC) based in Abuyog, Leyte to help you prepare the scions for grafting.
My farm is located in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato, at the foot of the mighty Mt. Apo.
You could just ask the tricycle drivers for directions.
Those living in Eastern Visayas, you could just go to EVIARC in Abuyog, Leyte. I believe they could share with you a few planting materials.
In other regions, I have asked the Regional Research Centers to develop nurseries for the Abuyog Sweet so that farmers could get free planting materials.
