A young Computer Engineer who lives just a few kilometers from my farm will now help me design and build Village Incubators with Chick Brooders as I start turning Backyard Chicken Farming into a Free-Range Chicken Production Industry.
A graduate of local college, Colegio de Kidapawan, Rey Bation Jr. of Barangay Linangkob, came to my farm yesterday after I posted an article seeking help from Incubator Experts to repair and maintain my incubators in the farm.
I shared with Rey my dream of turning North Cotabato into the Free-Range Chicken Production Capital of the Philippines using the strain which I developed 14 years ago, the Manok Pinoy.
In expanding the program to the different barangays of the province, I asked Rey to design for me incubators and brooders which would operate even during the usual power interruptions.
He said that he and his uncle have developed a technology where the incubators that they made would automatically switch from AC to DC during power interruptions.
This is a significant innovation because now we could even install Solar-Powered Incubators and Chick Brooders in remote villages of the province.
Let us welcome 2025 with the hope of a better year for our people in North Cotabato.
Farming is getting to be very exciting with innovations and modern technology.
