Mixing Chicken Manure Slurry with InOrganic Fertilizer has reduced our fertilization cost by over 50%.
For every hectare of Sorghum and Soybeans, we apply three packs of AMO Foliar through leaf spraying.
Twice, we apply through drenching two bags of InOrganic Fertilizer diluted in two drums filled with two containers of Chicken Manure Slurry each and water.
This means 4 drums of the Organic and InOrganic Fertilizer mix applied during the growth period up until harvest.
The choice of InOrganic Fertilizer would depend on the requirements of the plants.
We spray AMO Foliar three times starting at 10 days after seedling emergence and twice more at 15 days interval.
The drenching of the Chicken Manure Slurry mixed with InOrganic Fertilizer (Urea, 21-0-0 or 14-14-14) is done on the 15th and the 30th day.
In total, our fertilization cost is less than P8,000 per hectare.
Here is another positive point: Use of Chicken Manure Slurry and InOrganic Fertilizer mix reduces risk of fertilizer pilferage by field workers.
