First Taste Of Giant Gourami In BFAR-NFTC Muñoz N. Ecija

As we push forward our program to develop our Multi-Species Hatchery, I made a quick trip today to the National Freshwater Technology Center of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.
We were warmly welcomed by the head of the NFTC, Dr. Jude Danting, who offered us a sumptous lunch of Giant Gourami, Red Tilapia and Freshwater Ulang.
With the support of the new Agriculture Secretary Kiko Laurel and BFAR Director Dem Escoto, we will be bringing down to Mindanao outstanding breeding materials of freshwater fish species.
