Proudly, I could claim to be the only Cabinet Secretary of President Rodrigo Duterte who covered the whole span of the Philippine Archipelago in just 5 years.
My first official travel was on July 6, 2016 in Los Baños, Laguna to meet with the country’s outstanding rice farmers.
The next day, I spent the night with the Mangyans of Pola, Oriental Mindoro.
I talked to fishermen in Malimono, Surigao del Norte, Mapanas, Northern Samar and Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat.
I listened to the Tribal Farmers of Bukidnon and Davao del Norte.
Their pains I felt and their dreams I now carry as I start on a difficult quest to win a Senate seat which would enable me to craft measures to improve their lives and contribute to the country’s growth.
This journey will be rougher than the waves of Itbayat and more difficult than walking to the rice terraces of Benguet but it is a challenge I must take on.
Our mission is to craft enabling legislations and work for the establishment of the needed infrastructure to boost our food production while creating thousands of jobs.
