MLANG, North Cotabato — The Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) has approved the released of additional funding for the Central Mindanao Airport located at Barangay Tawantawan in Mlang, North Cotabato.
Mayor Joselito Piñol said he received information that P154.4 million is intended for the development of the airport to operate as feeder airport to the terminals located in the coasts of Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, and General Santos Airports.
Most of the provinces in Southwest Mindanao such as Cotabato, Lanao del Sur, Bukidnon, Maguindanao, and Sultan Kudarat have no convenient access to the airports.
The DOTC said people in these provinces have to travel at least two to three hours by land to get to the airports located in the coastal cities in Mindanao.
The Central Mindanao Airport, once operational, is projected to serve a population base of 3.5 million people in Cotabato and its neighboring cities and provinces. (WILLIAMOR A. MAGBANUA)

On Gratitude and Giving
Here is a thought I would like to share with you as we start a new day in our lives.
“If your gratitude depends on what life gives you or what other people do for you or to you, you will be disappointed more often than you are grateful.
“But you can learn to feel grateful by rethinking your attitude towards life.
“First, remember that contentment lies in giving. If you know that giving is better than receiving, then you can feel grateful for what you are able to give others.
“This does not mean you ignore your own needs. You will
decide what to give and how to give it, and then at the end of the day you will be grateful for having had the chance to give in your own way.
“Remember, we all have something to give, and our ability to give is not related to our finances or physical strength.” – Bernie Sieg
