As I toured the M’lang Airport yesterday, I felt a pain in my heart as I saw the marker which was installed in front of the terminal building shortly after it was opened by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in November 2009.
Today, the airport marker is covered by dust as politics victimized this very important infrastructure project whose only misfortune is the fact that it was initiated by me, the political opponent of the incumbent leaders in the Provincial Government.
So because of misguided and vindictive politics, we have squandered three years of development and wasted 2,000 job opportunities which could have been generated with the operation of the airport.
When will the planes land?
The answer to this question will be known when people go the polling places to vote for the next leaders of the Province of North Cotabato.
