MANILA – A magnitude 4.7 earthquake shook North Cotabato on Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the epicenter of the quake, which happened at 7:09 a.m., was located 14 kilometers southeast of Kidapawan City.
Intensity IV was felt in Kidapawan City, and Makilala, while Intensity III was felt in M’lang, and Tulunan.
Intensity II was felt in Matalam, and Antipas.
The quake was tectonic in origin. It had a depth of 2 kilometers.
No damage and casualties were reported.
Aftershocks are also not expected, Phivolcs said.
