NIA Targets 1-M Hectares Using Israeli Digitized Smart Solar Irrigation System!
The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) aims to irrigate at least 1-million hectares of new rice farms using the Smart Solar-Powered Irrigation System.
In my recent meeting with NIA Administrator Eddie Guillen, he informed me that the SPIS Program which I introduced to the Dept. Of Agriculture when I was Secretary us now being fully implemented with over 100 units already operational.
The Israeli company LR Group, the same group which I engaged, is implementing the program.
All units are monitored by a Central System which uses a Satellite to check its operational status.
Administrator Guillen promised to allocate a good number of the SPIS for North Cotabato.
