North Cotabato Towns Hold Simultaneous Prayer Rally To Mark Former President Rodrigo Duterte’s 80th Birthday Today, March 28!
There will be no traditional Proclamation Rally today to mark the start of the campaign period for local candidates as at least 16 towns of North Cotabato and the Capital City of Kidapawan hold simultaneous Prayer Rally to mark the 80th Birthday of former President Rodrigo R. Duterte.
As the head of the political coalition in North Cotabato which supports the call for the return of the former President to the Philippines to face trial here, I have advised all our local parties to defer the staging of the traditional proclamation rally and instead support the private-sector led Prayer Rally for FPRRD.
Kidapawan City Mayor Jose Paolo Evangelista will lead what is expected to be the biggest gathering in the whole province with the full support and participation of several private groups in the city.
Simultaneous Prayer Rally will also be held in the following towns:
1st Congressional District: Pigcawayan, Midsayap, Alamada, Pikit, Aleosan, Libungan;
2nd Congressional District: Kidapawan City – 4pm – Front Mega Market, Makilala – 4pm – Santosland, Arakan – 5pm – Poblacion public market, Antipas – 5pm – Poblacion fronting 7-11, President Roxas and Magpet;
3rd Congressional District: Kabacan – 6pm – Purok Saranay court Poblacion, Matalam – 4 pm – Public market, Mlang 5 p.m., Tulunan – 6 pm – Municipal plaza and Banisilan – 5pm – Grandstand.
Residents of Carmen town who would like to show support to the former President are advised to join the Kabacan Prayer Rally.
Prayer Rallies are also expected to be held in other parts of the country and in many Filipino communities abroad.
