From The North! Abra Governor Pledges Support For Senate Bid

A few days ago, I received an unexpected yet very pleasant message from the Provincial Governor of a northern province I visited only once when I was Agriculture Secretary.

Gov. Joy Valera Bernos of Abra whose province received three units of the Solar-Powered Irrigation System said in her message that she was supporting my candidacy for the Senate under the Nationalist People’s Coalition.

The more pleasing news for me, however, was the information relayed by Gov. Bernos that the farmers of Abra had been organized into an organization called “Asenso Farmers.”

Water is one of the major problems of Abra’s farmers and when they saw the blessings of the modern irrigation through Solar Power, they finally saw hope.

Actually, I promised Gov. Bernos that more Solar-Powered Irrigation Systems would be built in Abra but I resigned from the Dept. of Agriculture in August 2019.

My quest for a Senate could help me fulfill that commitment.
