The Kapampangan Development Foundation Inc. (KDFI) today launched the Green Pampanga Program in San Fernando, Pampanga with an initial 600 Giant Bamboo Propagules which I turned over.
Along with the 600 Giant Bamboos, I also gave KDFI Abuyog Sweet Jackfruit seedlings to serve as Mother Trees.
KDFI Executive Director Sylvia Ordonez received the planting materials along with farmers from Pampanga and Tarlac.
“We are grateful that you never got tired of helping us,” Sylvia and her husband, Ernie, told me.
“Yung Kawayan na yan you plant it today siguradong may dabong kayo next year and a Bamboo Industry four years later,” I told the KDFI officers and members.
The Giant Bamboos will be part of the Green Pampanga Program which aims to turn the Lahar covered areas into fields of green.
The planting materials were distributed to all participants in the event today.
