North Cotabato Rising Halal Beef Capital Of The Philippines!

Dreams do come true.
My dream of developing my home province, North Cotabato, into the Halal Beef Production Capital of the Philippines is coming true.
A few days ago, former Agriculture Assistant Secretary Hansel Didulo came to my farm with the country’s biggest meat importer, Gabriel J. Ang, President and Chief Executive Officer of Atkins Import & Export Resources Inc.
Asec. Didulo said Ang was following my posts on the Halal Beef production program that I had crafted for Kidapawan City and North Cotabato.
He came to North Cotabato to meet me personally and express his intent to buy our Halal Beef Production.
“Why would I import beef if North Cotabato could supply it?,” Ang said.
Initially, he said the volume requirement would be about 150 Beef Carcass everyday which means that North Cotabato will have to produce 4,500 fattened steers every month.
This was like a big window of opportunities for our farmers opening up with the market for our produce already ensured.
Since Kidapawan City had been identified as the first Local Government Unit to implement the Halal Beef Production Program, I brought Asec. Didulo and Gabriel Ang to Mayor Paolo Evangelista.
Immediately, the young Mayor offered an available area where Gabriel Ang could establish his Cold Storage Facilities where the Beef Carcass produced by Kidapawan City farmers and other farmers in North Cotabato later will be stored.
Mayor Evangelista, who is leading in the surveys and is certain to retain his post, also said the City will establish a Halal Slaughterhouse to support the program.
This development will not only benefit Cattle Farmers but also those who produce raw materials for feeds and silage like Corn, Sorghum, Soybeans and Copra Meal.
When expanded all over the province, this program will also provide employment to our young agriculture and veterinary graduates who will be engaged as livestock technicians.
Here is the video of that meeting between Mayor Evangelista and Gabriel Ang with my apologies for the poor audio.
