Search for leaders! These Qualities We Need: Vision, Inspiration, Action!

A follower of this page, obviously a young man with high political awareness, Rodney Valles, asked a very profound question on leadership which I believe I need to expound on.

First, he asked what my edge is over the other Senatorial candiates.

My answer: I touch the ground. I listen to people. I set the vision, provide inspiration and most of all, initiate action.

Best Presidential Candidate?

My answer: I do not want to start a quarrel. We have our choices. I leave you to pick yours.

What are the standards in choosing the next leaders of the country?

My answer: The next President, Vice President and Senators should have a deep understanding of the problems of the country and must have the experience and the expertise to come up with solutions.

We should avoid issue-reactive leaders, those who come up with positions and views based on the headlines of the newspapers or main stories of TV and radio because more often than not their programs will just be temporary or leaders who seek political posts to protect their business or political interests.

They must understand the problems of Climate Change, the Environment, Food Security, Health Security, Jobs, Inclusive Economic Growth, National Security and the capability to deftly handle our foreign relations taking into consideration the general welfare of the nation and its people.

Most of all, they must have the solutions and the political will to implement these.

Thank you for raising these profound questions on what kind of leaders the country needs in these times of crisis.
