When your hand is raised by an incumbent and unopposed Governor of a Province with 1.7-million voters, it surely boosts your confidence in wading into a contest pitted against big-names in politics.
Yesterday, Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr., whose family is related to mine by affinity because my aunt, the late Josefina Cordero, married the late Capt. Andres Defensor, warmly welcomed me to his office, introduced me to the members of the media covering the capitol and later raised my hand to express his full-support for my Senate bid and escorted me to the frontage of the Capitol when I left.
Tratong kamag-anak at hindi politika lang ang ipinakitang pagsuporta ni Gov. Toto Defensor sa aking kandidatura kag nalipay gid ako.
Earlier, Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas and Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon also publicly expressed full-support for our Senate bid.
Madamo gid nga salamat Iloilo, probinsya nga natawhan sang akon ginikanan kag mga katigulangan.
Love begets love.
