The farmers’ guidebook, “Breed Your Own Free-Range Chicken,” which had been shelved for about two years now will soon be available in coffee table book format.
I actually have completed chapters which provide instructions on how to start a breeding program for resilient chicken which could be raised by farming families but I failed to complete the introduction and the acknowledgments.
The book is simply a compilation of my experiences in developing a new strain of free-range chicken which I named “Manok Pinoy” from 2010 until today.
By the end of July this year, I would be ready to share the book for those interested at very affordable prices because my intention actually is just to encourage other farmers to breed their own chicken.
This will be my second book after the publication in 2015 of “Feeding Millions” which outlined what needed to be done to ensure food sufficiency for Filipinos.
Hopefully, my mind will still be sharp enough to produce more instructional materials on other farming activities based on my actual experiences.
