There’s Always A Way!

As the prices of Inorganic Fertilizer had gone up beyond the reach of small farmers, a family-owned poultry farm in Davao City has taken a bold move to help.
Anna’s Breeder Farm, Inc. which produces 1-million chicken monthly, invested about P18-M to establish a Japanese-designed facility which turns chicken dung into Granulated Organic Fertilizer.
The liquid component or sludge is also used as liquid fertilizer.
While the NPK of the Granulated Organic Fertilizer is lower than that of Chemical Fertilizer, it has a very high organic matter.
It has been proven to be very effective in vegetable production.
More than that, the price per 50 kilo bag is lower by over P2,000 than the Inorganic Fertilizer.
ABFI will now test the Granulated Organic Fertilizer and the Sludge in the Sorghum Demo Farm which we have established.
If proven effective, this could bring down the price of Sorghum to be used in poultry, hog and aqua production.
