In the lonely confines of my quarantine room, I was so happy to receive today photos and a video of my first grandson, Duane, helping in the bagging of Giant Bamboo propagules.
Duane is the eldest son of my daughter, Dr. Maria Krista and her husband, Chito Solis.
Their second child, Kristoff, almost 2, has also displayed affection for farm animals which leads me to believe that like his Kuya, he too will be a farm boy.
Duane obviously enjoyed what he was doing because he was humming a tune while filling the bag with Coco Peat.
These Giant Bamboo planting materials will be distributed to the different provinces of the country as part of my Green Philippines Advocacy.
When Duane grows up, he could proudly claim that as a 7-year-old kid, he had contributed to the regreening of the country.
