In the farm early this morning, I noticed that the thick Wild Taro, locally called “Gabi,” growing beside my garden area had many ‘runners.’
‘Gabi’ Runners are actually roots which grow into new “Gabi” plants.
These ‘runners’ are soft and succulent and is traditionally cooked as “Paksiw” or “Adobo.”
I did even plant the “Gabi” and yet nature provides us with a delicious and nutritious food.
This proves the adage which says: “Sa bukid, tamad lang talaga ang magugutom.”
