Country’s Top Rice Farmer Shares Secret To High Yield

The country’s top rice farmer, a former OFW who now owns a 38-hectare farmland in Tagpos, Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija will soon share his secrets to record high yields of between 15 to 17 metric tons per hectare.
Danilo Arcales Bolos, whose 17-metric tons harvest in one hectare is a national record, worked with the “Tuklas Yaman” team today to produce seven episodes for the “Tuklasin At Gawin” segment of the PTV4 Agri TV Show which starts airing Nov. 10 at 11 a.m.
I made a quick visit to Tagpos today to check on the work of the video team and joined them in feasting on the food served by Dan’s wife.
“Tuklas Yaman” will be hosted jointly by me and my son, Bernhart Immanuel, a veterinary student of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) although I will have to take a leave from the program when the campaign period starts.
