I, Farm Boy! Agri Technicians Learn From Farmer’s Experience

Early today, a huge delegation of farmers and agriculture technicians from Davao Occidental came to my farm to learn from a real farmer.
Led by Provincial Agriculturist Nally Bangoy, who also served as agriculturist of North Cotabato when I was Governor, the agriculture technicians and farmers received an on-field lecture on the asexual propagation of the EVIARC Sweet Jackfruit, also known as Abuyog Sweet.
I had fun bantering with the technicians who I advised should hone their skills through actual farm work rather than just rely on what they learned from textbooks.
Later, I showed them the rearing yards of my “Manok Pinoy,” the backyard chicken breed which I developed over 12 years ago.
Davao Occidental will also start a Manok Pinoy Multiplier Farm to produce free-range chicken to be raised by poor rural families.
