I, Farm Boy! Before Mating Starts Dapat Paliguan MunašŸ˜€

Just like many other animals (including humans), our Manok Pinoy free-range chicken must be clean and healthy before they are placed in the breeding pens.
The moment the young hens or pullets are ready for mating indicated by reddening of combs and wattles, they are dunked in a pail of water with malathion and soap to get rid of mites.
Then, they are dewormed using either the organic Betel Nut or commercial dewormers.
After deworming, they are given a dose of B12. We also change their feeds, from grower or maintenance to breeder feeds.
Adding Corn and Sorghum grains to the breeder pellets actually results in higher egg production.
