We have continued our experiment in providing our breeding chicken in pens with greens to prevent feather pecking and provide them additional protein.
Today, we served them with Camote tops and leaves because I have a lot planted in my farm.
Just like when we fed them with Mulberry previously, the chicken showed great appetite for Camote leaves.
I have a lot of high-protein leafy plants in my farm like Madre de Agua, Malunggay and Mulberry so I won’t have a problem with supply sufficiency.
I am happy this works.
My next target is to conduct a practical study to determine whether there is a marked reduction in feather pecking and an increase in egg production.
