I, Farm Boy! LaMancha Buck Yields Two Liters of Milk Daily! Here is one for the books!

A LaMancha buck, that’s a male goat, owned by an American goat breeder from Klamath Falls, Oregon is milking.
It is not just a squirt of milk as in some male goats coming from lines of heavy milkers.
The LaMancha buck owned by my friend, James “Jim” Clem, Lucky Stars LX Emmit, produces 1/2 gallon daily for up to 10 months every year.
Having been involved in goat breeding for a long time (Boer, Anglo Nubian and La Mancha), I know that some male goats.
There is a scientific account of male lactation in animals.
“The phenomenon of male lactation occurs in some species, notably the Dayak fruit bat (Dyacopterus spadiceus) and the Bismark masked flying fox (Pteropus capistratus), and the lactating males may assist in the nursing of their infants. In addition, male goats are known to lactate on occasion.[5],” was an entry on male goat lactation which I found in wikipedia.
But for a male goat to produce 2 liters of milk daily for 10 months sounds incredible.
Jim Clem, however, says that Lucky Stars LX Emmit belongs to a family of heavy milkers whose daughters could yield as much as 6 liters a day.
The LaMancha does belonging to Lucky Stars LX Emmit line could hold milk for over one year.
I have one LaMancha doe in my farm now who still milks even after her daughter is already one year old.
I don’t know if she belongs to the Emmit line.
LaMancha goats are unique because they don’t have the floppy ears of the Anglo-Nubians.
What they have are very tiny ears called elves ears and sometimes none at all.
Developed by an American breeder, Eula Frey of Oregon, out of an earless Spanish goat breed, LaManchas are known for the tastiest goats milk.
Of course, that’s the milk produced by the LaMancha does or female goats.
How does milk from a male LaMancha taste like?
Absolutely, I have no idea.
I would not also dare taste or drink it.
At 66, I can’t imagine waking up one morning with breasts full of milk!
Ha ha ha!
