I, Farm Boy! Look, My Goats Love Crushed Fresh Kalabasa!

Finally, we may have found a market for the lowly Squash or Kalabasa.

Yesterday, in the presence of Fil-Am farmer-scientist Rocky French, my workers crushed several Squash or Kalabasa which I bought last week from farmers in my home village of Nueva Vida, M’lang.

To my great surprise, the goats loved the fresh crushed Kalabasa and Rocky said squash are actually used in producing pet foods, especially dogs.

He said Squash is rich in Beta Carotene and promised to conduct an experiment on using Squash for poultry, hog and aqua feeds.

Napakagandang balita nito para sa mga magsasaka na nagtatanim ng Kalabasa na binabarat at binibili lang ng P3 ang kilo kung peak harvest.

With this development, we have just opened a new market for the Kalabasa farmers.
