I, Farm Boy! Raising Chicks Naturally With Zero Anti-Biotics

The first batch of chicks which was raised using the 15 Day Starter Feeds we formulated in the farm is now 54 days old and, except for the runts which were deliberately culled, has Zero Mortality.
After the first 15 days, the chicks were given an improved feed formulation with Ascorbic Acid for sufficient Vitamin C supply.
We have also reduced the vaccines given to the chicks focusing mainly on Fowl Pox, B1B1 for NCD and Mycoplasma for respiratory issues.
We used to have as many as six vaccines but on Rocky French’s theory that healthy chicks do not need so many unnecessary vaccines, we reduced our protocol to just three basic ones.
Today, we are seeing positive results from these modifications in our feeding and biosecurity protocols.
