As we prepare for another breeding season for our free-range chicken strain, Manok Pinoy, our incubators are now being checked and recalibrate.
Our incubator technician, Simon Banoquillo, who also designed and made some of our incubators, yesterday checked all the units.
He recommended that we enclose our incubation areas with walls and insulators to stabilize the room temperature.
Simon said that given the unpredictable climate, there could be sudden changes in the temperature if the incubation rooms are not enclosed.
This could result in very poor hatching rate.
So, Simon says Incubation Temperature should be set at 37.7° Centigrade and 62° humidity while room temperature should be stable.
