I, Farm Boy! Trials on Lemon Grass Hydrosol As Practical Farm Remedy Start

I have started a farm trial on the effectiveness of the Lemon Grass Hydrosol, which is a by-product in the processing of Lemon Grass Oil, in preventing and treating respiratory diseases for both chicken and goats.

The trials started four days ago after the visit to my farm of Mindanao inventor Engr. Rudy Cane who produces Lemon Grass Oil and Hydrosol.

He said that his brother, Agusan del Sur Governor Santiago Cane, does not vaccinate his chicken and uses Lemon Grass hydrosol to address common respiratory diseases for his chicken like “sipon” and “halak.”

The idea sparked my interest because of my own experience with Lemon Grass Hydrosol.

Earlier this year, I visited a Lemon Grass farm in Negros Occidental with Ram Pump advocate Auke Idzenga where he introduced me to the Lemon Grass Hydrosol.

A few weeks after I started drinking Lemon Grass Hydrosol, I was relieved of my chronic rhinitis, a lingering problem which has bothered me for so long.

In fact, I had to buy “Navage,” an equipment which uses saline solution to pump out the mucus from my nasal cavities.

So, I told myself if it worked on a human health problem, it should also work for animals.

Initially, I tried the hydrosol on a group of young chicken which I isolated because they had respiratory problems.

After three straight days of hydrosol, they appeared to have recovered.

Now, I have segregated a batch of chicks which will be given Hydrosol in their drinking water and observe how they will react.

Yesterday, I also started giving it to my Boer goats after I noticed that some of them had runny nose and a few were coughing.

While this is an informal study, I consider this as very critical and important.

If indeed, the Lemon Grass Hydrosol is effective in preventing and addressing respiratory diseases in chicken, then I would be able to raise real organic chicken.

That would save me a lot of expense for vaccination and medication and it would give me real healthy chicken.
