Somebody sent me a text message asking me to show him how I take care of newly-hatched chicks.
I am reposting here an article which I wrote a few months back with accompanying video materials.
Please take note of the circular GI sheets which serve as improvised brooder.
This system prevents trampling during a stampede which is one of the causes of high mortality.
The chicks stay in the brooder up to about 3 weeks after which they are released to the yard.
I hope I was able to share here some of our best farm practices in raising Manok Pinoy.
