Earlier today, I learned of the killing by alleged drug enforcement agents of a young man in my hometown, Mlang.
According to police reports, Nonoy Palada, whose parents were friends of my late father, was suspected of involvement in drugs.
He allegedly fought it out with the drug enforcement agents.
Maybe it is true that he used drugs but the claim that he put up a fight against the agents is not believable.
People should remember that I was Mayor of Mlang for 3 years and I know the culture of the people there.
Damo isog sa Mlang pero they respect authority so I don’t buy the story nga nagbato sya.
I have asked the PNP Provincial Director, Col. Henry Villar, to give me an update on the case.
I will also ask the PNP to shed light on the Dapudong case.
As a son of Mlang, i don’t like drugs to destroy the lives of our people but at the same, I will protest indiscriminate killings in my hometown based mainly on suspicion.
