Prevent Vent Pasting! 15-Day Chick Starters Ready To Share Soon

Aside from formulating Aqua, Poultry and Hog feeds for production in the village-level feed mill that we are operating in Kidapawan City, Filipino-American farmer-scientist Rocky French has also addressed some of the chick-rearing problems I encountered in the farm.
I shared with him the problem of vent pasting (pagdikit ng tae ng sisiw sa puwet) which usually happens during the first 15 days of the chicks’ life in the brooder.
This problem has caused us high mortality rate and weak chicks.
Rocky formulated for me a low-protein Chick Starter Feeds which he recommends to be used for the first 15 days.
We are using this feed formulation now and indeed, I have not seen any case of vent pasting in our week-old chicks.
On my request, Rocky agreed that we should produce this chick starter feeds commercially as part of the feeds that our small company, the Southseas Agri-Aqua Ventures Corp., will produce.
