In response to the great interest expressed by many followers of this page on the beautiful Philippine “Aseels” or “Parawakans” being bred in the Braveheart Farms in Barangay Paco, Kidapawan City, I am posting here more photos.
The first photo is a mammoth Grey Aseel who is only about a year old but weighs 4 kilos. He is being single-mated to a speckled Aseel hen.
The third photo shows the white Aseel which I acquired from Datu Jazim Mamintal in the breeding pen with white straight-combed hens.
The other photos show more Aseel roosters in the range area of the Braveheart Farms.
There are about 20 pure Aseel hens now in the breeding yards and so far, I have produced over 100 Aseels now in the Braveheart Farms.
In the yard, I could easily identify them even from a distance because the Aseel chicks would stand out displaying a robust and well-rounded body.
My goal is to produce at least 500 cockerels and as much pullets as I could raise to ensure that I will be able to contribute my share to the efforts to perpetuate this beautiful breed of chicken.
