Four local “Sorbeteros” will compete for a grand prize of P25,000 in the search for the Best “Marang” Ice Cream to be held today in my home village of Nueva Vida, Mlang as part of our village celebration for my birthday.
There are actually 16 participants but the 12 other “Sorberteros” will be serving Ice Cream using three other flavors – Langka, Durian and Mango – because they failed to find “Marang” fruits as it is off-season.
The P50,000 prize for the best tasting “Marang” Ice Cream will be divided as follows: P25,000 for the Champion, P15,000 for the 1st Runner-Up and P10,000 for the 2nd Runner-Up.
Those participating in the Best Durian, Langka and Mango will compete for the Grand Prize of P12,000, 1st Runner-Up P8,000 and 2nd Runner-Up of P5,000.
Every participant will receive a participation prize of P5,000 but they will serve 500 Ice Cream Cone each to all those who will be at the Barangay Party which starts at 8 a.m. today.
This means that the people of my village will have a total of 8,000 Ice Cream Cones to taste.
Those who have manifested their intent to join the competition which will be done on Dec. 15, a day before I mark my birthday and this will be held in my home village, Nueva Vida, Mlang include:
– Ramie Rodriguez, Michael John Rodriguez, Anatalio Rodriguez, Samuel Man-on, Rico Garcia, Mendes Arguilles, Arnel Companion, Victor Arguilles, Edwin Hordista, Marcos Rufo, Edna Macasarte, Albert Casundo, Angele Silvia, Dennis Ice Cream, Rolicene Tolentino and Melvin Arguilles.
