BGB President Rod Bioco said the corporation is targeting 100,000 hectares to be planted to the Giant Bamboo to satisfy the requirements of the processing facility.
The Giant Bamboo Farming Program which is now tied to a processing facility is one of the components of the Green Mindanao Project initiated by MinDA.

The GMP, however, is focusing on environmental protection programs with economic benefits to the stakeholders encouraging tree farming, especially Agarwood, fruit tree farming and now Bamboo Farming.
