Barring hurdles, it’s all systems go for the inaugural flight of Philippines Airlines (PAL) Express’ Zamboanga-Kota Kinabalu direct route on March 31, adding another gateway to Mindanao’s trade, invesment and tourism link to ASEAN through BIMP-EAGA.
In an inter-agency meeting convened by MinDA earlier today in Zamboanga City, key government agencies, including private sector representatives have all indicated readiness for Mindanao’s latest direct international connectivity link.
MinDA Deputy Executive Director Romeo Montenegro expressed MinDA’s appreciation for the support extended by participating agencies, including the City Government of Zamboanga, represented by Vice Mayor Rommel Agan, in seeing to it that this BIMP-EAGA initiative pushes through.
PAL Express will be operating the route on a thrice weekly Zamboanga-Kota Kinabalu-Zamboanga service using an 86-seater Dash 8 Q400NG aircraft. #IntegratingMinDAnao #BIMP-EAGA #BeyondBorders #ASEANConnectivity
