Even in the face of the challenges brought by COVID 19 movement restrictions, two model communities of the Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag-asa Program are rising in two provinces in Mindanao.
The Kauswagan Green Village, a 6-hectare community where 200 families will be involved in the production of Organic Chicken and vegetables, is now nearing completion.
The other village, Kalawit Agro Estate, located in Kalawit, Zamboanga del Norte, is now undergoing construction.
It is located in a 200-hectare area where relocated families from urban centers could plant coconuts and engage in agricultural production activities.
The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) is leading all these efforts with the support of the National Housing Authority (NHA) and other government agencies and the LGUs.
Consistency is the name of the game.
