Inspired by the dramatic response of people to the “Biggest Badiang Challenge” who submitted so many photos and to celebrate Farmers’ Month, May, I have decided to stage another “Biggest Challenge.”
This time, the search will involve two animals most loved by Filipino farmers – “Baka” and “Kalabaw.”
The “Biggest Bull” and the “Biggest Carabao” Challenge winners will be judged using the following criteria:
1. Height of both the Bull and the Carabao;
2. Length of the body;
3. Heft or the Size of the body;
4. Imported Bulls and Buffalos are not qualified.
There will only be one winner in each category and I am personally committing one (1) breeding yard set of Manok Pinoy for each winner.
One breeding yard set consists of 10 cockerels and 50 pullets.
A huge Champion’s Trophy will also be awarded to the winners.
Ito lang ang kaya ko na papremyo pero kung merong mga civic-spirited people and farmers’ supporters, including veterinary supply companies, who would like to support this project by adding more prizes, I would be very happy.
Photos of the entries, along with the statistics on the contest criteria could be submitted to mayettetudlas@gmail.com or argie_lee2@yahoo.com.
I will be asking the support of Municipal Agriculturists in validating the entries.
Our deadline for the submission of entries will be May 30, 2021.
