At 4 o’clock this morning, two huge trucks carrying Mindanao products finally arrived, just in time for the opening of the MinDA Tienda in Manila today.
The arrival of the trucks, a reefer and a wing van, loaded with fruits, organic rice, Ube and other items ended days of anxiety for the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) team.
The trucks which left Davao City on Monday were part of the MinDA convoy which travelled all the way from Mindanao for the first-ever display of Mindanao products in Manila.
Floods, however, prevented the trucks from passing through the Maharlika Highway in Lopez, Quezon.
The MinDA convoy of smaller vehicles had to take a detour through the backroads of Guinayangan, Quezon to reach Manila while the trucks were stuck in Calauag town for almost two days.
The Mindanao Development Authority thanks the Philippine National Police CALABARZON Region under PBrig. Gen. Vicente Danao for assisting the MinDA convoy.
Indeed, in the face of odds and challenges, let us just do our best and God will take care of the rest.
