Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte – The houses are still to be built, the returning urban settlers have yet to arrive and the organic chicken will still have to be raised but already an agricultural trading company yesterday signed a marketing agreement to buy the Balik Probinsya Organic Village production.
Kauswagan Mayor Rommel Arnado and Eng Seng Food Products President John Tan signed the Marketing Agreement yesterday shortly after the groundbreaking ceremonies in the first Balik Probinsya Resettlement Village.
Eng Seng Food Products is the first Davao-based company to export young coconuts to China and is now exporting Durian to several countries in Asia.
Tan also eyes the establishment of a coconut processing hub in Lanao del Norte to provide jobs for the local people and Balik Probinsya beneficiaries.
