The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) is ready to operate its Central Command Center in Kidapawan City on Monday to coordinate assistance, relief and rehabilitation efforts for the victims of the series of earthquakes in the Davao and Cotabato Regions.
The MinDA CCC will be established at the JCX Convention Center, formerly JC Complex, along the Cotabato-Davao Highway in Kidapawan City.
It will cover all earthquake-affected areas in both the Davao and Cotabato Regions.
The MinDA CCC will mainly collect data using drones and digital technology to determine the extent of damage, the support and assistance needed and the crafting of post-disaster follow through interventions.
It will also identify which areas have not been fully assisted so that donor agencies could be properly guided.
The MinDA will request for a coordination meeting with all agencies involved in the relief efforts, including the local government units.
It will also accept relief goods and assistance from groups and individuals who have been asking how they could help.
The distribution and disbursement of resources gathered by the MinDA will be coursed through the proper agencies to avoid duplication and ensure that all affected areas are reached and assisted.
