The seed companies provided the seeds and technicians who guided their farmer-cooperators on proper farming techniques focusing on healthy and good agricultural practices.
MinDA initiated the program with the support of the Provincial Government of Bukidnon and the Department of Agriculture as part of its advocacy to develop industries in Mindanao.
MinDA aims to improve the quality and quantity of vegetables from Mindanao as it eyes the local and regional markets.
A similar activity will also be held in other vegetable production areas of Mindanao next year.
