For those who think that families joining the Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag-asa Program will be herded back to the provinces like cattle, check out this model house in the photos.
This is the type of house which will be built for each family joining the Balik Probinsya Program pushed by Sen. Christopher Lawrence Go and supported by President Rody Duterte.
This model unit was built using funds from the private sector in the Kauswagan Organic Village in Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte, one of the two BPBPP sites in Mindanao.
The duplex housing units costing about P300,000 each has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, toilet and bath, full concrete and tiled floors.
The unit was completed in two months and 100 duplex units of this model will be built in Kauswagan while 200 single-detached units will be constructed in Kalawit, Zamboanga del Norte.
As soon as the National Housing Authority downloads the funds to the local governments, the construction of the units will start.
Before the end of the year, the units will be ready for occupancy and livelihood training will be started.
