Davao City – On the way to the office today, I passed by fruit stands along the Davao Diversion Road brimming with tropical fruits.
I realized it is Summer and the hot climate induces fruit trees to flower and bear fruit.
The early products include Camiguin and Longkong Lanzones, Rambutan, Avocado and Durian.
Of course, there is the constant presence of Lacatan bananas and Pomelo most of which comes from my hometown, Mlang.
The fruit season has started and the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) will start its preparation for Season 2 of MinDA Fruit Festival in Luzon and the Visayas.
Abangan at mangangamoy Durian na naman ang Session Road ng Baguio!
